Norwegian Award Ceremonies
In 2012-2013, the Norwegian Historical Association (HIFO) organised the 14th history competition. The year 2013 marked the 100 anniversary of universal suffrage in Norway. So In addition to the traditional competition ‘My family and history’, HIFO, in cooperation with the Stemmerettsjubileet, organised an additional competition called ‘Participation in the democracy’.
Over the last three years, the Norwegian competition has had a stable participation between 600-800 participants every year. The number of entries this year was 715, the number of participants: 733.
It is a tradition in Norway that the award ceremonies are held at the schools which the prize winners attend. This year the prizes were handed over at Mysen and Hartvig Nissen upper-secondary schools.
